Indian authorities have designed a gigantic river interconnection project, dubbed the National River Linking Project (NRLP), which aims to replenish the rivers of Northern India, affected by pollution, overexploitation and climate change, using water from Southern rivers.
Recent declarations by Indian leaders suggest that doubts are beginning to creep in about this project, its real benefits and its multiple costs.
